Default Is it rude not to cash out a check that you got for a present?

Today is my birthday, and this girl gave me an envelope. I looked inside, and there was a $30 check in it.

For some reason I don't want to cash this out. Is this rude?

Thanks

Soh

Personally I prefer it when people cash my checks faster rather than slow. It's annoying to have outstanding checks that you have to consider when balancing the checkbook etc. Just cash the damn thing, she wouldn't have give it to you if she didn't want you to cash it.

I had a girl do this for me one time i talked to her on the comp while i was in college and she was from back home. She has had a crush on me since i was like 17 but is very shy and she decided to send me a Bday card with a check inside it was for 20$ i probably should have cashed it for beer but for some reason i didnt because i didnt want to give her the wrong idea.
