Re: MLB awards.. what about the ROY\'s?
Dan Johnson of the A's should win if he has enough ABs to qualify.

If Francouer doesn't win the voting is more rigged than Party.
OPS of 1.019 and a CANNON. |

I'm biased as an angels fan, but http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/player...e?statsId=7547 [/ QUOTE ] Bah, he cost me 3 bets today (ANA moneyline, and 3 small parlays that all teams won except ANA), so I won't vote for him anymore! Bodog is still taking money on Francouer at 11:10, so I hope you guys are all right about him winning easily. I had my hopes for him, but I am a Braves fan so all I hear is great hometown stuff about him all the time. |

[ QUOTE ] Iguchi: .284 BA, 13 HR, 58 RBI, 14 SB, .352 OBP, .804 OPS [/ QUOTE ] Isnt he over 30? I dont think Japanese players (or cuban, etc) who have been playing pro at the highest levels elsewhere for 10 years should be eligible. When Matsui won it I didnt think it was quite right. I think they should generally be in their first 1 or 2 pro seasons at the highest level. If someone is 32 but just broke through to the majors then they are a rookie. If theyve been playing at the highest level in japan, theyre not really rookies. [/ QUOTE ] Whether you believe players that have played pro ball in Japan shouldn't be eligible or not, it has already been established that they are. And his numbers and value to his team probably indicate that he deserves it. |

well, back to my point, IMO matsui shouldnt have even been eligible. |
