Default When to give up with the nut flush draw

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 1 fold, MP1 calls, Hero calls, 1 fold, CO raises, 2 folds, BB calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (12.50 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (6 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, MP1 bets, Hero calls, CO folds, BB calls, UTG folds, UTG+1 folds.

Turn: (7.75 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, MP1 bets, Hero calls, BB raises, MP1 3-bets, Hero calls, BB caps, MP1 calls, Hero calls.

On theturn I have nine outs to the nut flush and the pot is 9,75 BB when the action comes to me the first time. I should call, no problem. When BB starts raising I put him on something between a big two pair and a house. But I canīt possibly find a fold except on the river where Iīm sure an overcall is a misstake.

River: (19.75 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB bets, MP1 calls, Hero folds.

Final Pot: 21.75 BB

If I'm counting it right, the crazy turn action gives you 9.75:1 the first time, and 14.75:2 the second time (~7.5:1) and then 18:1 on the final bet. Is that right? Overall it's 31.75:4 total for the turn, or almost 8:1.

Barring you drawing dead to a FH, you'll hit your nut flush more often than they'll hit their gutshot (with two pair to fill up). BB's initial c/r then cap would be the only thing scaring me. Did you have any reads on him?

Why not raise the flop? Face the field with calling 2?

The way you played it, I think you folded in the only place you could.

Hmmmm..somewhat loose and not too aggressive. Your only real decision is whether or not to call the two cold on the raise and re-raise... since if you do that, you're automatically calling a cap as well, if that happens... which it did.

If this is wrong, I don't think it's very wrong. If it's right, I don't think it's very right, either. Someone who's a lot better at poker than I am will chime in, I'm sure.
