I agree that it was a terrible fold. I didn't think enough before trying the check-raise on the turn. It was indeed meant to put extra pressure on MP2, but seems not to have succeeded. When I got 3-bet by the button, I simply concluded I was way behind and got out, rather than thinking through the pot odds I was getting for an estimated 3-5 outs. Definitely a mistake, and thanks for pointing it out.

Looks like a consensus that something more straightforward on the turn would have been a good idea: bet out and then call down, or check-call and bet river.

Results are not important, but if anyone is curious: button was pumping the straight flush draw; he had 76[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. MP2 had QTo. My hand would have been good, and I am an idiot.
