50NL 6max, oesd doesn\'t hit, bluff the river against LAG
50NL 6max. Villain is LAG (86/22 and 3+ agg on all streets).
Made relatively loose calls on flop and turn with OESD and overs, partially due to my read on this guy as being so aggressive. When he slowed down on the river, I took this as weakness and tried to take the pot. I'm not confident with my play on any street. Comments? Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 6 handed) converter MP ($85.98) CO ($69.95) Hero ($80.90) SB ($26.40) BB ($56.75) UTG ($46.50) Preflop: Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. I don't think those calls are too loose. I don't like the river bluff, but I don't like river bluffs in general against an opponent that has been betting. In small stakes, that is. You'll run in to too many donks that call you down with second pair to make this profitable.

I don't like the river bluff because it doesn't look like you'd call the flop with only two clubs. He might not believe your bluff.

Re: 50NL 6max, oesd doesn\'t hit, bluff the river against LAG
well played, i'd guess you were able to fold him off two diamonds. next time, however, think about what hand you want him to have (in this case [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img][img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]) and then how much you have to bet to get him to fold. 10-15 would have saved you $ the times he has JT.

Re: 50NL 6max, oesd doesn\'t hit, bluff the river against LAG
Thanks for the feedback all.
I guess I should post the result, which is that he had QJo for TPGK and neither flush draw. As aggressive as this guy was I thought he would bet the river with top pair, but I was wrong. |

Re: 50NL 6max, oesd doesn\'t hit, bluff the river against LAG
You don't bluff against a LAG, because they will CALL YOU DOWN
Pick a better spot to bluff (against weak opposition) Against a LAG you play made hands, that's how you win their money |
