Default Anyone with questions about NYC

[rant]
Can we stop getting 10 posts each day about people looking for card rooms in NYC?

These are illegal businesses in case you've forgotten. The people that know where they are would have to be pretty stupid to post the addresses on a public message board.

If you're brand new (i.e. registered yesterday) and no one knows who you are I don't think anyone's going to feel comfortable giving out this info, I know I won't. If you've been around here for a while than PM one of the guys that lives in NYC and ask them privately.

Also, please use the search before asking a question this common. You might even get lucky and find one of the times that the addresses have been mentioned.

P.S. Sorry for starteing a new thread but I wanted to make this as general as possible.

good post evan, I agree 100%. there is pretty much no reason for anyone to ever post an address or location of an nyc club in a public forum like this. we've got a great situation right now and I would hate to see any bad stuff happen as a result of unwanted publicity.

Because this forum is largely self-policed. If they just went around deleting posts I'd have a problem with that, even if they were posts that I would prefer weren't made in the first place.

Mat should delete that one post made about a week ago. If you don't know which post I mean, then good.

True. Is there a way to ask him to do that? (I should probably know the answer to this)

You look older in that picture, which is to say, older than 12.

If I am thinking of the same post, I clicked on the little "notify moderator" button when I read it... I believe that flags it for the moderator to determine whether it is appropriate. Does anyone know if the post is still there?

Edit: Just checked -- its still there. Apparently they don't give a shiite.
