Default Flopped trips, strong resistance on turn

First hand post in a long time.

MP2 is ridiculous, 84/15/1.5. SB is new and unknown. In his 1+ orbit, he has played back at MP2 a lot, so he could know MP2 or he could just be another LAG.

Party Poker $2/$4 Texas Limit Hold'em Ring (9 handed)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, MP2 calls, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, CO calls, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, SB calls, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>

Flop: (9 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="red">Hero bets</font>, MP2 calls, CO folds, SB calls

Turn: (6 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="red">Hero bets</font>, MP2 folds, <font color="red">SB raises</font>, <font color="red">Hero 3-bets</font>, <font color="red">SB caps</font>, Hero calls

River: (14 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="red">SB bets</font>, Hero calls

Final Pot: 16 BB

I have a really hard time not raising the River here. You *may* be up against QT, but there are plenty of holdings on a Party 2/4 game that call from the SB that you are beating:

KQ
QJ
Q9
maybe even Q8.

Q4 could be a painful possibility here with the player having called from the SB, but I think you are more likely up against slow played trips with a kicker that you beat.

How many hands would he play this way?

KQ - 4 ways
QJ - 4 ways
QT - 3 ways
44 - 3 ways
TT - 3 ways

so you are behind 9/17 and ahead 8/17 so basically 50/50

I think I would just call the river here because raising is slightly -ev? Maybe I messed that up but it seems ok to me.

Hmmm, I completely discounted TT and you are correct that puts you very, very close to 50%...maybe a River call is best here.
