WSOP last 27......local hero Oskar Silow in 16th Place
Oskar Silow, who qualified for his seat by signing up through us for The Gaming Club is currently 16th out of the last 27 players
He is guaranteed to win at least $304,000 Oskar twice doubled up on Phil Ivey…the second time as follows…. Oskar Silow pushes all in for $450,000 in chips. Phil Ivey calls. Silow shows J-J, and Ivey shows A-K. The flop comes J-9-7, and it's all but over for Ivey who is dead to runner runner straight. The turn locks it up for Silow when it brings a 4. The river is an 8, and Silow doubles up to $1,160,000 in chips through Phil Ivey who now has $3,070,000. Go Oskar!!! Regards Jessica |

Re: WSOP last 27......local hero Oskar Silow in 16th Place
Someone said yesterday in a Prima small stakes NLHE game chat that this Oskar guy is playing just 0.5/1 or 1/2 or maybe 2/4 NL cash games there, IIRC the stakes, but it certainly was small stakes.. Can someone confirm?

Re: WSOP last 27......local hero Oskar Silow in 16th Place
From Oscar's diary...
I was sitting and playing some 0.5/1 NL hold em at a table at the gaming club when another player at the table addressed me. I answered and he asked me if I thought he could catch up. I of course had no clue what he was talking about, but then he told me that I was in the lead of the WSOP ranking, which of course sounded somewhat confusing to a low limit player like myself who have not yet ever participated in any WSOP tournament and never thought I would. But after some explaining he directed me to the source and I was stunned. I was on top of the leaderboard who sent the player who gained the most points by playing the most raked hands between 8th and 23rd of April to the WSOP, flight, hotel everything! How could I have missed this?? It was already the 13th and I was on my way to work. Needless to say work was the last place I wanted to go to when I found out........... |

Would be incredible if a player that didn't even participate in a WSOP satelite and payed $0 to be in the WSOP ME won the whole tournie!
Go Oskar!! |

At the dinner break Oskar is shortstacked and still in 16th, with 18 remaining, in need of another double up soon.
Go Oskar! |
