Game profitability
What percent of poker players would you say is educated (read books, 2+2.com, etc) I recently played a heads up tournament and was playing the way HOH2 says to play and was wondering how many people do you also think read that? Also, I once played in a club in dallas and some people there didnt seem to take it all that seriously and it made me wonder why they would find am illegal club if they werent serious about the game. All this is making me wonder aobut the profitability of these games.

Re: Game profitability
It depends on what you consider educated. A lot of players know the standard stuff like raising from first position and what a SB and BB is. If you are asking how many people know how to calculate odds then I would say 90% of all people online and ni little [censored] clubs have never even heard of implied odds.

Re: Game profitability
How does online compare to casino's?
Seems logical to me that online there are very many students playing who are both intelligent and often enthusiastic gamers willing to learn the game thoroughly while at casinos maybe there are a lot more recreational players. I am playing the 0.5/1 limmits online now, and i guess in casinos it starts at 3/6 so i am a bit scared to go to the casino yet |
