PokerTracker Question
Some of the time, when a crackpot is going on about how site X is rigged, people will respond with "I've got 10,000 hands in PokerTracker, and I flop a set holding a PP as often as I should." (or flush draw, or straight draw...).
How do you check that? Is there an easy way, or are doing some more indepth calculations? |

Re: PokerTracker Question
Select "All dates" (and set stake levels to none checked; and see that no filters are set) on Preferences tab, go to General Info tab, look at your stats summary to see the hand count.

Re: PokerTracker Question
No, I know how to see how many hands I've got in the DB. I'm talking about being able to see that I've been dealt a pocket pair 1000 times, and flopped a set ~120 times.
I've seen people post that their PT data confirms that they're flopping a set as often as they should, and I wanted to know how they were figuring that out. |

Re: PokerTracker Question
misc stats shows how many times you have gotten a full-house, etc.
but i'm not sure how you would determine how often you got it on the flop....or how often you were leading up to river, etc etc. although on the misc stats you could through each of your full-houses and see how often you hit it on the flop. out of 10k hands i have 70 boats....it 'felt' like i had more than that. not positive off the top of my head how many i 'should' have gotten in that time frame....but it is probably reasonably close. i could go through my full-boats and determine how many of them came off of pocket-pairs (since it's only 70 it wouldn't take too long) and how many came on flop. i could then compare that with the total number of pocket-pairs i have received. anyway, if you play around with it and are willing to do some work it doesn't look like it would be too difficult to figure out. i'm actually getting somewhat inspired to look into some of this stuff...may give one a slightly better feel for the game. interestingly, i went to SD with my boats only 55 out of the 70x. i don't remember folding them 15 times, but i guess the situations where you have 22 and the board comes 888AK with multiple bettors make it pretty easy to get out of the way. for the most part, i don't even think of myself has 'having a full-house'. i think in terms of 'well, this flop completely missed me.' |
