not much read on villain as he's new to the table

one mp limper... i complete w/ q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in sb. bb checks.

flop is 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

i bet, bb folds, villain raises. i call.

turn is 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

i bet, villain calls.

river is 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

i check, villain bets, i fold.

Default Re: anyone play this differently?

I expect to get flamed for this but I just hate playing hands like Q9o OOP. You're only getting 5-1 on your call and if you only pair on the flop you never know where you're at vs a decent player. If you're hand is good you have reverse implied odds so you don't get payed off very well. Maybe it's a matter of skill but I play on line and unless I'm up against a fish (when I raise), I fold preflop.

BTW, that MP limp seems kinda fishy. Actually, Q9o isn't enough of a hand to go after a fish with. Anyway, that's my 2 cents worth.
