Trip to AC week of 9/20?

I am going to AC during the week of 9/20. Sounds like the Borgata is the place to play. Since I am a tight wad, I am trying to figure out the best 3 days of the week to go and cheepest rooms. I don't mind staying in a dump, just don't want to be too far away from the Borgata. Any suggestions for days of the week or place to stay?

Just an FYI...the Borgata open is going on that week. Not sure how that will affect the room (if any tables will be availble etc)

thanks for that FYI. I will definitely think about how that may affect my plan. Maybe I should go to a different casino, or maybe it isnt a good time to go. Anyone have thoughts on that?

Borgata is pretty good to poker players. Call and ask for a poker rate. Since the Open is that week, it may be tough, but worth a shot. Beautiful room, and beautiful place. If you're SOL on Borgata or any other casino hotel, there is a good place on rt 30, the Comfort Inn North. I've stayed there twice and it was reasonable and clean, and less than 5 mins from the Marina.

try travelocity.com or expedia.com--you might get lucky and in any case they will show a list of AC hotels and prices and you can go from there.

I just booked a room at the Borg at the poker rate of $79/night for Wed and Thur. 9/22 and 9/23. Poker rate is a little different than normal because the WPT is in town...but still seems like a good deal.

that does sound like a decent rate. the rooms are awesome. i think the normal poker rate on weekend is around $100per night. labor day weekend the reg. rate was $350,

the holiday inn express at 6811 blackhorse pk. was pretty nice. 5 miles away. very easy to get to borgata from there. stayed there labor day weekend. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
