I'd consider Guinness, Dos Equis and the like macros, but he specifically allowed imports. Any of Stone's brews are incredible. Weihenstephaner's hefeweizen (weizen) is the bet I've managed to find in the states (I lived in southern Germany for a while). Still not as good as real, bavarian weizen, but pretty good. Fat Tire is decent, but I agree that they have much better beers. The Blue Paddle Pils and their Trippel are both very good.
