Re: I still don\'t know about A2
Thats cool. IMO its way too tight, as you will usually have the best hand with initiative and position in these spots. Im sure others opinions will differ though. FWIW I raise any ace in the cutoff (barring unfavorable table conditions like two loose blinds, a loose button, overaggro button etc.)

Re: I still don\'t know about A2
I open raise with any ace from the cut-off and button. It is profitable for me at 5/10, but I lose a little at 10/20.

Re: I still don\'t know about A2
I agree with mperich. Im open-raising any A from the CO or Button. They are pretty much break-even for me over craploads of hands, but they at least probably helps my shania since we are talking about abdul.

Re: I still don\'t know about A2
as the founder and inaugral member of the always open raise A2o on the button club i'm dissapointed with some of the comments in this thread
you have an ace - you have position - those blinds are yours - if they want to defend with garbage then bring it on my fat pokertracker database reckons its a winner at 1/2-15/30 6 max stripsqueez - chickenhawk |

Re: I still don\'t know about A2
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I need A7+ to open-raise in CO and A3+ on Button [/ QUOTE ] This in particular seems absurd. If anything, CO/Button steal standards should be equal. Button will not interfere with your plans unless he has a legitimate hand, and as such your first-in raise with A2 will usually fold a hand like A6o from Button. [/ QUOTE ] stealing stds shouldn't be equal from the cutoff and the button. while ur correct that the cutoff raise w/A2 will fold out the mentioned tweener hands (A3-A6) the button still represents 1 extra possible "real" hand you could run into. |
