Great song with great indecipherable lyrics. One of the best early videos with the armadillo. I also believe that the version you hear on the radio now or on newer CD releases is different from the original. There is a "sonic" effect on "the jet pilots wailed" part that isn't on the first releases but I can't find a reference to the change. This kind of thing keeps me up.

i'm not sure. it hadn't been mentioned in the thread up until my post, so i figured it wasn't popular amongst the hardcore music fans like yourself.


plus, I just wanted to work in an extra line from the song.

That album was thought of as the death of The Clash and their cross over into commercialism by a lot of people. And ROck the Casbah was by far their biggest selling song to that point. So many people symbolized the song and started hating the song as much as they hated the album.
