Default QQ on a K high flop

Villain here has like 10BB. I should have an actual read but I don't.

Party 5/10 6 max

UTG limps, folded to me in the SB with black queens and I raise. BB calls and so does UTG.

FLOP: 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I bet, both call.

TURN: 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

I bet, BB fold, UTG raises, I call.

RIVER: 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I check and call.

Good or bad?

Without a read it's very hard to give you good advice. Change the 3 into a [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and I would probably fold the turn. When you call the turn you have to call the river. In general I would probably call down HU.

his raise looks very fishy to me. i play the same...maybe even 3-bet turn sometimes if i think he has a flush draw along with a straight draw.

if he had K, why wouldn't he raise on flop with drawish board against 2 opponents?

cheers!

This was exactly my thinking. Ha, the problem is, everytime someone raises the turn on me I'm just like "ok obvious semibluff" and call them down.

Default Results, comments?

This happened to be the one time he was semi bluffing...he had 6s7s and MHWG.

So really, was I correct to call it down?

Calling down here is fine against an unknown. Sometimes you see a K, but you'll see enough semi-bluffs and bluffs to make it worthwhille on Party.

As someone else noted, a K generally would give you more action on that flop.

Good. I'm not confident enough to 3-bet the turn against he's a known LAG, or in particular a player who will either not cap with just K's or will cap with a "semi-bluff".
