Default Are low buy-in PL MTTs always so bad?

The preflop action here almost made me sick on my monitor.....Apparently the graphic for the slider is broken somehow.....I can't figure out if QQ or AT played it worse.

Blind defense against pot-sized raises is stiffer than i've seen in a 0.5/1 game on party. Limp reraising with ATo? I With adjustments, these seem juicy.

I have seen worse play. UTG+1 was representing aces. If SB didn't have queens, it might have worked.

i suppose....just strange the raise amounts are so small...I narrowly avoided stackage when i got QQ on the 2nd hand of this tourney...played a little too soft for aces....who k onws maybe they aren't even paying attention

The limp minireraise, followed by the small bet on the flop and larger bet on the turn is exactly the way some people play aces.

But are PL MTTs common enough for a $5 participant to recognize this and lay down queens?

Just seems far too sophisticated for the level but maybe I'm wrong.

How would UTG+1 know that SB had queens?
