40 80 live AQ hand
2 ok tightish passivish players limp in from early. A loose aggressive player raises from late. Another tight passive cold calls on the button. I call in the big blind with AQ offsuit.
Flop is A J 6 rainbow. I bet, both early players call, late player calls, button raises, I 3-bet, UTG calls, other early player folds, late player and button both call. Turn is an offsuit 8. I bet, UTG now raises, late folds, button thinks for a while and coldcalls, I call. River is another 8. I check, UTG bets, button calls, I fold. |

Re: 40 80 live AQ hand
you played this one pretty well.
but it's close between calling the turn to try and spike or just folding. utg has a set or aces up and/or button AK or a set far too often given their profiles. im leaning towards folding the turn and feeling really good about it. |

Re: 40 80 live AQ hand
i would fold the turn. you are prob in third place and UTG could likely have you drawing dead(66)...
i think you played it very well otherwise. |

Re: 40 80 live AQ hand
why not try to check-raise the flop and push out the players between you and the LP player?

Re: 40 80 live AQ hand
I 3 bet preflop and get the 2 tightish players that limped to fold. Then you have control when the flop rolls off.
