Default Simple PP question.

No read on villian.

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, UTG+1 calls, <font color="#666666">6 folds</font>, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: (3 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, BB folds, <font color="#CC3333">UTG+1 raises</font>, Hero .....

Fold? I don't mind the bluff attempt, but if they have hit any part of the board, you're done (not to mention the chance somebody has a higher PP).

I don't usually make this flop bet, but I think it's alright here. That said, it's an easy fold to a raise.

[img]/images/graemlins/ooo.gif[/img]Fold. Too many things beat you. I would say if he just called pre-flop then he probably had TJ, 89, 910, JQ (real genius aren't I). He hit something or just had a great bluff going. You have to give him credit for it and get out. [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

While you are ahead of some of his possible holdings, QT, 10-8, and maybe even KQ, you are only marginally ahead of them if at all and there are enough hands that beat you (J's, 9's and pp 55-99 are all candidates) that it probably isnt profitable to continue.

I'm more curious about the initial bet - is it proper? Also, if it isn't proper, check and fold?
