Bypasses reduce stomach capacity, which means you can eat less. Therefore, you lose weight.

I don't know if it is reversible. I don't think so.

Around 2002 or so a bunch of pros (Linda Johnson, Lederer, Doyle Brunson, and apparently Williamson) all got together to lose some weight. I know there were a few gastric bypasses amongst the bunch.

I would venture a guess that there was some sort of wager on it. I had heard that Doyle did it as a bet he couldn't lose 100 lbs. [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

haha nice! The funny thing is even Peter Griffin had gastric bypass in one episode.

[/ QUOTE ]

Pretty sure it was liposuction, not bypass. The doctor was talking about sucking out the fat and how it was like Vietnam.

Great googa mooga, I knew he was big, but I didn't know that he was that big that early. BTW, cheers in getting a pic from the '87 WSOP, is it a screenshot or is there someplace on the 'Net with vintage WSOP pics?

I was playing at his table once and he busted out his old drivers license picture to show this lady that was there. I think he brought it up.

he is one cool customer, this guy. nice as hell too.

he did have a lot of snacks though...
