Default Facing a big reraise

The following two hands occurred fairly late in the tourney. I had recently been moved to the table, so no reads. How would you play these two hands? Note, these two hands happened almost back to back (one hand in between) against the same opponent.

I'm less concerned about what I should have done at the end but rather how I could have played both hands better.

He could have just got lucky twice or bluffed you the second time when he realizes you are willing to let a hand go. Why on earth are you playing Q5?

Second hand I think you played fine except on the turn play. I'd make a bet of 4,000 and play it from there.

The first hand I would be done with against most opposition after they called on the flop.

Hand 1: After getting called on the flop, you're looking to get to the river for cheap. So I'd probably check the turn and go from there unless you've got a really strong read. Definitely fold to the big raise without a heck of a read.

Hand 2: With AT you're looking to steal the blinds, so consider betting out on the flop to try to take it down there representing AQ or an overpair. That said you checked and got lucky to catch on the turn. You need to reraise more. You didn't reraise enough to shut out the straight draw if he has say AJ or TJ. When you get reraised all in, you should fold. The board is really coordinated, you could be easily looking at two pair or a made straight.

You should not be putting any more than the blind money in the pot on either of these hands. Period.
