This sounds a bit like Phil Gordon vs. Juha Helppi in Aruba first year of the WPT.

Hi Rowdy, hi Army,

The article doesn't say whether in fact this was a final, a semi-final or even a quarter final match.

The reason a lot of people are assuming this is Phil is because he made a big show at this years WSOP main event of laying down over pairs to reraises on the flop more than once at the mid stages of the tournament. He not only did the one shown on the WSOP ESPN coverage but he evidently showed another one as well from a player he had covered.

Which tournament is this referring to?

[/ QUOTE ]

My best guess would be the Championship at the plaza, but I don't know for sure.

[/ QUOTE ]

Danny N won the Championship at the Plaza.
Hellmuth has only made 2 final tables this year in major events and those were a 6th and a 7th so don't think it could be him.

[/ QUOTE ]
This could be in much part, due to the fact that Hellmuth didn't play in many tournaments over the past year.

doesn't sound anything like it, there Phil was making plays with junk and getting caught, but the whole thing was pretty much staged anyway.
