im on tilt!
I've noticed lately that while I’m playing, I am constantly added up how many chips I have at the 4 tables I’m playing on. Its getting to the point that I will be in the middle of a hand but I can't help checking how much money I have at each table to see if I’m up or down. It is really affecting my game, not just by distracting me, but if I am down, I start playing to many hands, making bad calls, and getting to aggressive.
I heard that there was a program out there called "tilt blocker" that you can download and actually place a box over your chip count, but I can't seem to find it. does anyone know where to get this from? any other suggestions would also be greatly appreciated. |

Re: im on tilt!
just randomly sit down with a different amount of chips at each table. that way, you won't know exactly where you stand.

Re: im on tilt!
if you're consantly looking at your chip counts, and it's affecting your play, maybe you are playing too high. try lowering your stakes where the money doesn't mean so much to you. blocking the stack size is a bad idea because your stack size is important in determining what to do in many situations, at least in NL.

The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem.
...or...something... My advice for your tilt situation. Stop doing that. |

Re: im on tilt!
it's much easier to just open up the cashier every half minute to look at your cash total!

Re: im on tilt!
I always check how I'm doing. It really helps me accurately assess how the session is going. I mean once I lose like 3-4 buyins (at nl cash) for the night, I need to take a break.
