Default 200NL....fastplay or slowplay?

Just wondering wut your guys think about fastplaying your big hands, like board pair trips, flopped nut flush, etc.

Do you think fastplaying is losing too much value at this stake given that most players are pretty bad anyways and are willing to call off their stack with TPTK etc.

Like I can see why slowplaying in the higher levels may not be a good idea since many players wont commit much chips after being chek-raise, thus being tricky seem to have more value since fastplaying at the higher levels might often result in people playing back at you (due to the aggressive nature of the higher stake games.)

So just wondering wut u guys think, does being tricky and fastplay my hands at this level have more value? or does sticking to the good old slowplay hold the most value?

I rarely slowplay, and at these limits, I don't think it would be a good idea (unless you hit Quads). Betting for value is by far the best way to go IMO.

how do you play when you don't have a hand/a monster?

this should be the EXACT same way that you play when you do have one.

I used to make the mistake of slow playing my good hand and pushing my marginal hands fast, trying to get people to fold. I found i was relatively easy to read to anyone with a large number of hands on me (not a huge issue at 200nl, but it will be at higher levels).

The keys are to vary your play really so that you are unpredictable. The less information you are giving the better, and to play all of x type of hands one way and all y type of hands another way is to inform your opponent.

So, be consistently inconsistent.

know your opponent.. and play according.. by having a meta-strategy it will vary your play enough without changing gears at the wrong times to the wrong person.. slowplay that maniac who pushes when you check 2x. bet into that calling station give them odds to draw to their pair.. but enough not to scare them off.. vs several opponents or if your uncertain about your table, its always safer to bet out and protect your hand..
