Default books on stud

There are many good books out there on stud. However, the only must read book for stud is Sklansky's. However I feel this book completes whatever needs to be said about stud from the other books. The other good books out there are 1. 7-Card Stud : 42 Lessons How to Win at Medium & Lower Limits by Roy West 2. How to Beat Low Limit 7 Card Stud Poker by Paul Kammen and 3. Winning 7-Card Stud: Transforming Home Poker Chumps into Casino Killers by Ashley Adams. I was wondering if all of these books are must reads on this subject. Should I get 1, 2, or all 3 to go along with Sklansky's book. If I'm missing a must read here please let me know. Also note: I would like books covering both 1 and 2 cent games and 4000-8000 games not just on one limit. So probablly more than 7 card stud for advanced players is a must read for me. Thank you! I think if you read 7CSFAP and TOP you are in good shape to beat any Stud game out there within reason. Just read them and reread them. I didn't think Ashley Adams book was all that great. Another good book that didn't get mentioned in your post was SS1. I would pick Chip Reese's Section in SS1 over Wests book any day of the week.

Read everything you can simply to think about the situations. You can actually disagree with the author of a book you know.

What a relief.

If OP read and understands 7CS4AP, I see no reason at all to bother with other stud books. Unless I write one.

Andy have you ever considered writing the equivelant of "Small Stakes Hold'em" (ie- "Small Stakes Stud") for 2+2 like Ed Miller did with Sklansky and Malmuth.

I'm sure with the collective minds of you, Zee, and Skalnsky you could write a low limit equivalent that would be a booming seller. (in the small Stud world)

Cheers,
SDM

I actually wrote a little today, and I do envision this being the stud equivalent of Ed's book if laziness doesn't kick in.

This is awesome. Is it gonna cover all the games, or just Stud High?
