Is your stack big enough to be at the final table?
Take the add-on. |

Re: 1st in chips, add-on???
I've can't remember where I've read it, I feel like it was Raymer, who did some calculations and showed that it was slightly -EV cash wise to addon with a huge stack since when you cash you will only get a percentage of the money you paid to addon back. And the chips you get won't make a huge difference to you.
This being said I normally add on regardless. If I'm playing in a rebuy I have more than enough funds to afford it so I don't mind tossing out the extra money and pumping my stack. |

[/ QUOTE ] Yes, but what Raymer means by a "huge stack" is way, way more than 3x the average, like the OP has. The add-on is +EV in 99.9% of cases. |

Re: 1st in chips, add-on???
This one of those cases where I'm risk-averse. Even having a big stack, I'll take the add-on because at the point where I have enough chips that it might not be +$EV to do so, I will have enough that since I am in a better spot to win this particular tournament, I will protect that position.
