Default question about tracking winnings

I have been using SnG Tracker to keep track of my wins/losses and was wondering what people do when they win a token? Do you count it the same as money or not count it at all??

Probably a dumb question, but was curious what everyone else does

Token?

As for satellites (which probably has nothing to do with these tokens, but I'll toss this in anyway) I plan to count the seat won as winnings and then deduct it as the entry for the next tournament. I haven't yet been fortunate enough to have this problem.

Default Re: question about tracking winnings

Usually when I win a "token" (Tournament Entry Chip aka TEC - on UltimateBet) or other future buy-in (such as W$ or T$ on PokerStars), I don't count it as anything. Rather, I count it as my "investment" for the future tournament I use it for.

For instance, I play a TEC SNG on UB (heh) and I win a $100 TEC. I paid $10 or whatever for the SNG. When I use that TEC, I use $10 for my buyin when figuring my win at the main tournament - assuming I win.

However, if you wanted to say you had a win at the TEC of, in this example, $90 and then use that as the basis for your further buy-in, that's probably okay too. I like to think of my bankroll in cash and not in "tokens" or W$ or T$ or whatever else sites use.

I'm sure the Tournament forums would have more insight into this than I do.

Regards,

T
