That was it, I hit the bricks and probably won't play The Borg again (and they have nasty chips).

Are you sure you were at the Borgata?

Yes, I am sure. Nicest looking room in AC with nice plasma board, pretty colored felt and those nasty rubber-plastic stick together chips.

And high strung players.

Bremen is a druid in Terry Brooks Shannara series. Been quite awhile since I read them though (btw Dude, I bought the first two of the high druid series, hope I can read them soon).

Why did you check the turn?

Please protect your hand. It was awfully close to a sad story.

A couple posters said something to this effect. I don't have quite so much B&M experience so how would I do this? After the punk shows down his hand I turn over my cards and announce my holdings. How do I prevent the dealer from quickly grabbing my cards and flipping them over by mistake? If I know its going to happen its easy. Waiting for the dealer to tell you to show will just slow down the game (and probably annoy the dealer)...

I was quite sure he would bet a missed flush draw on the end if I checked the turn. Also he would call a turn bet, but then fold uninproved. This way I can save a bet when he draws out and can still get a bet in when he misses. I was also a little put off by the old guys play. He was playing uber tight. When he checked the turn I was fairly sure he had AK or AA/KK (he actually had KK). I am definitly sure of my play if it was HU with the punk, with the old guy in as well I'm not so sure.

You don't release your cards until the dealer pushes you the pot. Turn the hand over but don't let go.

Just to make sure, you did read the Voyage of the Jerle Shanarra series first, right? It's a prelude series and you'll enjoy teh High Druid series more if you've read it.

The final book of the High Druid series is set to release August this year.
