Default monitor question

i hate to do this because i feel like there has to have been an old post about the same topic but after a while searching for it to no avail i figured i would just ask again.

What is the minimum size monitor required to show four tables with no overlap at 1280x1024 resolution (or is it possible)?
Or do you have to have at least 1600x1200?
Because basically I'm looking for the cheapest monitor that will allow me to play four tables on it with no overlap...

Most sites tables are around 800x600, so you need 1600x1200 for 4 at once. Buy the Dell 2001FP, everyone else has!

Monitor size doesn't have anything to do with how much 'space' you have on your desktop. Think of a 10x10 grid of little dots on a piece of paper. It could take up the whole sheet or just a square inch. Either way you're only going to be able to see 100 dots.
