the turn/river is not a street. on the turn there are 4 board cards. on the river there are 5. but then again he could be an idiot with the A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and will pay off a river bet if he misses.

he didn't say what type of player he is. he just said bad. bad can mean a lot of things

No he didn't. The only thing we know about the villain is that he is not the worst player at the table.

you raise 76s preflop with only 1 limper? maybe this is why i hover at 14% PFR. what other questionable hands do you raise with?

i've talked a lot with drG and he raises this preflop too. i like raising it, esp at 10/20 where players are a bit more agg and give more credit, but i think a limp behidn on the turn is cool.

i dont like capping the turn, i dont mind calling the river.

I got lucky and he was totally full of crap with 53o for 3 pair. But I still don't think I played the hand optimally. It's hard to say if the cap is correct -- I think he could be 3-betting trip Ks a lot, and it's hard to put me on a flush, plus I'd like to charge any higher diamonds from drawing out. And I think calling the river is the only possible play.

I'm willing to listen to arguments for raising PF, because limping always feels weird, especially on 6-max, and especially with suited connectors after just one limper. Unless 2 people are already in the pot, I'm almost always playing raise-or-fold PF.

I don't understand raising pre-flop here. I don't feel that iniative and isolation is worth two bets in this spot and would pre-fer to play it for one.

I'll listen but atm I don't like it.

i like a preflop raise mainly because it gives you a better chance of being HU with the worst player at the table.

it's a decent ahnd and I'd probably rather raise in this spot than open raise on the button with it.
