Default Whats the nature of Party 5/10 sh??

my recent attempt at data mining the party 5/10 6max has produced some interesting results. namely, after about 300 hours of data mining, the summary of vpip was just under 43%,w/the pfr around 9.00. in other words, not much different from the info in my 1/2 party sh databse.

however, after only 300 more hours, the vpip is all the way down to around 38, with the preflop raise around 11.5.

so which is it? somewhere in the middle im guessing? the difference between those two samples is significant. all insights are appreciated.

That is kinda weird. Any difference in when you've done the datamining re time of day, weekends, etc.?

i cannot figure out where you people play. passive is so far from accurate in the games i play. seems to me everyone is a LAG. i have never played in a more aggressive game.

i just dont get how players can have a vpip of 40% and only pfr 10% i think the pfr should be significantly higher.

Balkii,

I used to say the exact same thing...before playing the 10/20 and 15/30 short games. And, yes, the 5/10 is MUCH more passive than both of those games. It's all relative...

few more TAGs have moved up (maybe down?) in recent weeks. i was travelling the first three weeks of the year and the difference between last year and this one has been noticable.

last year, 108k hands 42.2 vpip 10.5 pfr
this year 11k hands 40.2 vpip 11.4 pfr
