seems like cheating to me. The reason being you or your buddy seem to be willing to lose 2 bets so that one of you wins the pot not the other guy. This implies that you are either a) refunding these bets or splitting the pot later, or b) retarded and don't mind donating 2 big bets to your friend.

You played the pot so that someone other than yourself could win. this makes you a cheating piece of crap. Thank you drive through.

total squeeze play if you knew you were NG to your friend.
If you think that player A (usually not your friend) Will C/R to try and get Player B out, Fold a betterhand and you think your hand is better then A's and Not B's then it's legit, this case its not.
You should go donate back to some donks for penance

Any time you play in a cash game to win the pot for somebody other than yourself, you're cheating.

I think this is too broad a statement. I've played a lot of pot limit hands in a way that would encourage the pot to go away from a rock, and sit in front of a live player. These were pots that I knew I couldn't win, but where I felt I had a cost-effective way to keep the money in play for later harvesting.

How about when there is a straight on the board and 3 people in the pot. If I am first in I bet hoping the guy next to me raises so we can split the 3rd guys money. Also, If I am 2nd in I raise a bet for the same reason. Is this colluding? I am talking about online btw.

Hmm, this is probably different since I am looking to take half the pot.

Just off the top of my head,

not firing at a dry pot when the rock is all in and the live one may have some kind of draw;

leading into the rock's overpair with the live one behind him (trying to get rock to lay it down for fear of being jammed, or to get him to lay it down after it does get jammed).
