Default Dice Setting

If your trying to beat craps initally just for the hell of it ...

what are the basic dice sets?
i've been trying 6/5 for the come out roll

for the points:
5/4 for a 9 or a 5
3/3 for a 6 or 10
2/2 for a 4 or an 8
5/5 aligned all hard ways for a 10 (or just no 7)

I try to give the dice a smooth throw where it hits the wall and barely rolls...... I know this is probably total BS! but playing in low limits it's fun

I only bet the pass up to $5 and take odds up to $10, but usually $5 or $6

any thoughts if this actually works or if it's a joke
any books to suggest to read
thanks [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Personally, I think it's a joke. Although, I have to admit I've seen close-up magicians perform tricks right in front of me that I can't detect -- even though I know exactly what they're doing. I think you've got to serve 5-10 in solitary to learn some of these. A good dealer should insist that the dice "hit" the wall, and at that point I would trust the diamond pattern to randomize the dice. If a shooter could control the bounce and hit a diamond pocket square on, it could be done. I think getting a law or medical degree would be easier.

Standford Wong has a book about controlling Dice or something.
He claims it works, and the man knows his stuff.

checkout bj21.com and there is a link to some books.

I'm also pretty sure that the person who runs wizardofodds bet somebody a substantial amount that they couldn't dice set well enough to beat the game. The dice-setter conceded after a while.

One guy I read once converted his pickup truck bed into a craps 'practice ring' so he could work on hitting the wall just below the diamonds. Heh.

after reading this I wish I still had my Truck.
hmmm, that is something I never would have thought about.
A traveling craps table.... I guess you might want to have a cap though as you wouldn't want it to get wet and ruined.

From the results in the link below, the results though inconclusive actually seem to indicate that it is in fact possible. Although, more rolls would be necessary to prove it with more certainty.

Anyone who is interested the wizard of odds link is active.
