ETA as in the Basque terror organistaion or as in E.T.A. Hoffman? Or is this just another abbreviation that I'm not familiar with?

Given the reference to Sklansky's book, I sure he was talking about eta, the seventh letter of the Greek alphabet. In standard modern usage, eta represents the partial regression coefficient in statistics. Seems pretty obvious to me.

Damn,
I've always wanted to know what "RSVP" stood for. Now that I know it's french, do I have to change it like we all did French Fries to Freedom Fries?

Are we there yet??? When are we gonna be there????????

Given the posts by the author, among others, it seems unlikely that this book will be published this year.

What is highly likely is that there will be another 239467 posts between now and then asking when the book will be published, and discussing in minute detail the alleged contents.
