obviously at the time i put him on a higher pair hence the fold. however thinking about it now i suppose he could play AKs or AQs this way. couple that with the off chance that hes got 99 or TT and i think this is probably a -ev fold due to my dead money in there..

Even if he has AsKs or AsQs you are only a very slight favorite so I think this is a good fold.

Well, how much do you trust your read? Would he make a preflop raise like this with 33 or 66? or 76s? 65s? A6s? If you like your read and think he could have AKs/AQs/99/TT, then call. Without a read, I'd muck this in a hurry.

+EV fold, you're beat the majority of the time because the 'off chance' he has 99 or TT if really slim and doesn't makeup for most of the times he has AA-QQ. Even against AQ or AKs you're still just a slight favourite. Save it for a better spot.

If you flatcall the flop, do you think he fires again with AK/AQ?

i dont know, but that is the line i often take. for some reason i chose to raise this flop, which was probably bad. if the turn is another undercard i will call again if he fires pot. at this point even if hes got an overpair hes gotta worry a little and maybe we'll go check/check on river.

If he will fire again with AK, I prefer raising the flop, if he'll check with AK, I prefer calling.

I am seldom going to call both streets with a weak overpair like JJ.

if he will fire again with AK why not let him? thats the only way to extract more value from him. he will easily fold to your raise

Because it means I'm paying of AA, KK and QQ as well.

There are 16 ways of AK, and 18 ways of AA, KK and QQ.
