Though in a tourney the loss is magnified because you have put so many hours into it, I just feel that a second place finish in a tourney sucks

Agreed. I've only busted in second in a big (for me at the time) tourney, and it wasn't because of a bad beat but bad play, I couldn't stop thinking about it for like a year.

The realization that you outplayed the guy is a real first, i guess.
