I can think of no reason NOT to raise this river. What beats you the way this hand played out aside from A3 and A8?

Those hands have to be very serious considerations given the flop action.

with 2 players involved in the hand i think the river is a manditory raise. youre definitely ahead of 1 of them and should be ahead of the other, i think you are missing value.

actually rereading this hand i think my original assessment is wrong. its pretty odd for UTG1 to be calling a raise on the flop with an unpaired ace and betting at the ace on the river with anything but a single pair of aces. hes gotta have 88 or A8 here every time. you might get lucky and catch him with AQ sometimes but thats less likely.

sorry about that. baron youre good.

ya, i think sometimes i assume they are ppl with brains, but i just dont see anyone with even half a brain calling 2 cold on that flop with A9-AQ after hero raised preflop. i guess its possible but i see a 3 or A8 there a lot more often than AQ or AJ.

well, as stated by some of you, utg's play was pretty odd... i had trouble putting him on a hand on the river... though i was expecting to see 8s full or 3s full of aces... he ended up showing ah9h.. mp1 had 22.. needless to say, it was a good game.
