Yes, but like you said, he was in debt and needed money before the WSOP win. He thought about tanking stars q for the 8K 4th place prize. His "backer" (no clue on his name) gave him 10K for him not to tank and to play in the WSOP and the backer got 50% of Chris.

Hence, Chris only got about 750K after taxes/backers.

to be fair....i played with chris 30/60 on PS...only for about an hour...but he was surprisingly solid and disciplined. perhaps he needed bigger stakes for him to concentrate. granted this was a small sample size

Thanks for clearing that up, now I understand what people mean when they talk about Chris's "backers"!

donator said, "not bust yet chinese?"
wildman said, "never"
wildman said, "u?"
donator said, "im nearing the felt"
wildman said, "for real?"
donator said, "shopuld i go to 30-60?"
wildman said, "how much are you down/"
donator said, "97,250 this month"
wildman said, "thats not a good month"

[/ QUOTE ]

funny you say wildman, bc the player you're referring to has both wild and chinese in his name, if that's who you're getting at. Would be funniner if 'donator' was mr. boca raton, but unlikely.
