I live 10 minutes away from Lititz and I have met the kid. I never thought something like this could have happened but I hope he gets what he deserves. Shooting parents over an argument about curfew is ridiculous, he should have never been going out with a 14 yr old in the first place

Here is my guess of what happened here:

The kids were home schooled, so they have no idea what relationships are like. They never meet new people. So when they met each other, it was probalby very intense because they had been so sheltered. So they pretty much felt like Romeo and Juliet. So when they get home at 5 AM, the day says you can't date my daughter you are too old and blah blah blah. So this kid does the romantic thing and blows the old man away.

I wasn't really being facetious, I really thought maybe that was what the kid was thinking.
Turns out I was dead wrong. All the new stories point to the kid being a full blown psycho all along.
