Same results as in holdem. 1) everyone folds and you pick up the blinds or 2) a better hand looks you up and busts you out. Not exactly +EV is it? This cannot be a post by the Grinder who I have watched play.

O8 is all about postflop play, say u get AA23 double suited and raise all in, it is the best hand in omaha but does not have a huge edge over any other hand. Its not like holdem where AA is a monster favorite over any other hand.

TY the reason I ask. It seems that there is a lot of Preflop allin with aa and kk in $50 NL O8 H/L i have been playing . It just doesn't seem worth it to steal maybe a buck in preflop bets if 1/3 of the tbl limps in.

[/ QUOTE ]Going all in is usually reserved for a reraise, not the first raise for the reasons above.
you can reraise with hands like A2KK, AA2x, AA3x, AA45, AA22, AA33, A23K double suited. Of course if you have these hands, do you want to make a huge raise and have your opp fold?
