Right now I'm just increasing the bankroll. It's gone from $100 to $1200 this year, and I'm thinking of moving up to $2/$4 in Dec.

Congrats. 2/4 is good you will like it.

Thx. Only in Oct & Nov have I felt comfortable with my game at $1/$2. I really had to tighten my game from $0.50/$1. How different is $2/$4?

Hi Nik i spent most of my 1/2 time at the beginners tables and then moved to 2/4. I did play a little regular 1/2 and it seemed every bit as tough as 2/4 but i have a very small sample to judge off of so i am probably not the one to ask. I would have a tough time believing anyone that is beating the 1/2 would have any real problems beating the 2/4 game.

I have found 2/4 to be a noticeable jump in quality of opponent. You will still find loose tables, but not as frequently. Two things that helped me:
1. Play tighter until you pick up the feel for the table
2. Play one 2/4 and one 1/2 for awhile to compare.
That said, if you are winning at 1/2, you can definitely be a winner at 2/4. Good Luck!

Cool. Around my house we are conflicted about who to cheer for. We live in Switzerland, my son was born in France, my wife in México, and I'm American. All four countries are in. Anyways, PM me if you'd don't know anyone over here as I am sure my son will be up there for some of the games and all of the party. He'll be 18 by then, so probably close to your age?? He's not interested in Poker at all, just girls, rock'n'roll, beer, and "soccer".

Island vacations - 20 table hours a week - 1/2 to 3/6 - 1 island vacation a year - St. John last year, Antigua this year. And that is only 1/3 of the winnings!!

Them places are not cheap!! 1800 a week for a cottage.

The rest of the $$ goes for toys, Home theatre, lawn mowers, new bathrooms, car, STUFF!
