Default London Summary

Terrible terrible structure. Starts off 10k chips and 25-50, sounds great right? No. By the first dinner break it was 300-600 and when I busted 6-7 hours in it was 600-1200 with a 50 ante. Rediculous. They didnt have room for an entire field so they split it up into two flights.

Yes.

A three day tournament with two flights. Thank god I had other plans in London because if I had travelled that far just to play in this tournament I would've been pretty pissed.

So naturally I lost all my chips with crap. I got up to 22k at one point then went AI as it folded to me in the SB with A2, bb with 8bb calls with A8, I lose 5k. Then with blinds 600-1200 it folds to me on the button. BB is tight but kinda short sb has a lot of chips and is also tight. I raise to 3k with Q3o. Sb folds bb AI for 5k more I call and lose to A2s. Guess not thaaat tight huh?

Then folds to me in SB and I have like 7bb and I push with 25s and lose to AQ in BB who actually waited about 40 seconds before calling.

Nothing like travelling to Europe ane busting out with some premium hands!

In all seriousness though, this was a joke tournament. I wish they made the structure more clear to me, because I had absolutely no idea they were going to run it like that. I can just sit in a party sng for the thrill of high blinds. Im not comparing this with WPT paris, but I am comparing it with EPT Vienna which was a legit three day tournament with respectable blind levels.

The pubs were good and the blogger (http://www.pokerstarsblog.com/2005/0...-and-deal.html) witnessed a slightly humorous interaction I had with Vic staff.

no, like the wpt, the casino hosting gets to choose structure. i can vouch that the finals (monte carlo/monaco) had a *very* good structure, akin to the wsop/typical wpt tournaments.
