Default Bankroll

Hello,

How is a Stud bankroll determined? I play in $.5/$1, therefore my bankroll should be at least ...?

I thank you.

Regards,

You could be like Roland and Andy who started with $2.00, or you could read the FAQ which covers this question

There was a Caro article a while ago about how bankroll becomes progressively more important to protect the larger it gets. At .50/1.00, I would not really worry about bankroll concerns, since this kind of money is not hard to come by. Of course, your situation could be different. No more than 300 big bets should be necessary in any case, though.

I have always held to the 300BB rule before I moved on to the next level, but I seem to be more patient than most here recommend. It has taken a long time to get to the $2/$4 tables, but I figure I'll get to where I'm going one day. I have never even taken a stab at $3/$6 or higher to date, but I'm close. Another good weekend like the last and I'll be there.

Spring 2004, I logged into Paradise to play some heads-up play money. They asked if I wanted a free $2 to try their free money tables. I ran it over $300, then under $2, and more recently back up again. I cashed out $500 a month or so ago, and have $2700 spread among three sites. I run good.
