Default My one donk play of the night

I saw zipppy's thread and it made me want to post this. A very solid 215er told me this was a terrible play. I think he is exaggerating a tad.

UTG limps, UTG+1(doyouseewhy for those in the know) limps, I limp in MP1 with...KQo. MP2 makes it 60. Button calls 60. DYSW calls 45 (jeez, I wonder what he has?).

I now have to call 45 more into a 220 pot. So I do.

I pose the question to you. How bad is the call?

Stacks? If you had like 200 chips, its pretty damn bad. If you have 2000, its not.

This was my feeling. My friend said it was awful. I normally just fold KQ right off the bat, and certainly fold to the raise, but I was feeling frisky.

Actually, ironically, I feel a bit more justified playing this hand for a limp afer 2 early limpers...Although, still not great, at least I have:

1. The unbrella effect and;

2. When it IS raised from a LP player (or blinds) it will usually be enough to get the limpers out, IOW I cant call, so no big deal.

What I hate is when what happens to you happens...or, at lower level BIs I will often see what I consider to be the most donkish thing in all of poker...a minraise from the blinds...

Basically, it comes down to one mistake begetting another...the PF calling of the raise is not bad per se, but you shouldve seen it coming when you limped.
