How are players searching for rakeback supposed to know what is and isn't against the rules? AffiliateEV has said that closing an account and opening a new one is ok to do if you're working with an affiliate. Why is this the case? Why isn't it ok if you're not working with an affiliate? I've also heard that some players are able to create multiple Empire accounts. Even though this is said to be against the rules I'm guessing it's okay if you work with an affiliate. I'm getting the impression that affiliates can basically write their own rules.

Affiliates fighting with each other in a lucrative business that has all sorts of room to budge is the reason why the rakeback percentage continues to go up. Being able to discuss specific percentages on a forum wouldn't be a problem if there wasn't huge profit being made.

I'm just now starting to look at the whole rakeback issue again. A few years ago I had made some decent money by becoming an affiliate and getting 20% of the rake and probably would have continued if all of my higher volume players hadn't left for an affiliate who was able to give them a higher percentage.

I'm basically just trying to gain information on something I've become out of the loop about. I don't want to have a situation where I would work to get players and then have another affiliate be able to completely push me out of the market because the percentages I can offer are not nearly enough.

Do all the higher volume players just go through a cycle of closing and reopening accounts to keep getting higher rakeback? If you don't have the highest percentage you're missing out on a whole lot of money.

How does asking these questions make me a douchebag?

Be nice, no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people.

Asking questions is one thing, asking questions about defrauding a company is another.

Only affiliates are allowed to defraud the company? How is a player supposed to know the rules when everything that is said to be illegal is okay to do if an affiliate gets a cut of your money and is involved?
