Just a quick question, are you gonna be playing the 6 max tables or strictly full?

not sure if I will be playing these much at all actually.
I mostly play the 15-30 fulls, but i might mess around in these a little from time to time.

Is this 6 max or full?

To be honest, I'm not sure I like it so much.

After his flop call, what did you put him on? I assume either TPGK or flush draw-ish tpye hand. The bet size is nice because you are really representing a set (maybe 2pair if he thinks youd play Axs) but what makes you believe he will lay his hand down now if he called the flop?

Meh, I like it and I don't... Table context helped with this one a lot I'm sure.

AK, AQ, K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. or possibly AA-QQ, but those last ones are pretty unlikely I think.

The more I think about it, the more I like it.

Unless he has AA he's really got to fold this turn. Nice.

I would assume that he would get frisky on the flop with AA because of the flush draw.

Its good if you think:
a) he is good enough to fold tptk (it looks like you believe so) and
b) your image is good to make this seem like a clear set/two pair.

BTW, your bet on the turn is perfect if he is as good as you believe.

I'd take the free card, make it look like you have a flush draw and if a 3rd club hits the river I'd go for a 3/4 pot bluff bet if checked to again.

Once he calls your flop raise, you have to slow down unless heavily improved.

a couple of things.
first of all to the guy who said unless he has AA he has to fold.
i don't know what type of players you play against, but i don't think thats an accurate assesment.
however with AK on that board i think most players will check call barring a solid read on their opponent.
fsu, you say he is solid, however does that mean he is capable of laying down big hands, or that he is very good at hand reading, or both?

also to lawrence, just because he called the flop doesn't necessarily mean he is going to call the turn.
the flop raise was pretty small, and he may very well have called the flop to see what fsu did on the turn.

as it stands this play is very player dependent, and usually the sucess hinges on your table image.

however unless you have a very tight table image, i don't think you're moving anyone off of AK, which is what makes the game so great, when you do flop a set or two pair you're going to make money off the people who can't get away from AK/AQ here.
