Default Big pots make for strange bedfellows

BB was a bizarre maniac, capable of virtually anything. On previous occasions, he'd 3-bet 97o preflop and 86o preflop for hands he'd shown down. 90/15/.5

UTG was also a strange buddy, 60/1/.2. His general mode of operation is lose a lot of money, and he does that exceedingly well. My notes on him says he peels flop peels turn and folds river.

CO was a tight passive caller.

I don't believe I'd have the balls to call this down. I probably fold preflop, and certainly the flop when there's two calls ahead of me with CO still to act, passive or not.

If you're talking about folding preflop to the 3-bet, that's a mistake. 1, I'm not going to be 80% to 20% against the maniac a lot, it'll be a coin flip at worst. 2, I'm getting odds to call it.

If you're talking about folding the flop, that's perhaps debatable.

He's getting 6.5-1 preflop. 8-1 to hit a set. With a calling station and a lag in the hand. He is going to get paid off if he hits and can leave if he does not hit a set.

I don't think the flop call is debatable, you're getting almost correct immediate odds and good implied odds.

The preflop call is a no-brainer.

The flop call is good if you're fairly sure it won't be raised behind you.

I don't understand the Turn call. There are too many people in to think you're hand is best, and you're not getting odds to draw. Your hand sucks, it doesn't matter if they're donks.

I kinda have to agree with this.
