9:35 ET and I'm in. All my details are there, but the porthole pics at the bottom of the main window are all blank.

It appears to have crashed completely. No announcement from Pokerstars Support either, which is strange. Also strange is the fact that you can go to other tables and see players/chip counts etc but no action thus rendering the entire Poker Experience worthless.

Can anybody access Stars right now? I had a heck of a time signing on earlier, similiar problems to what others mentioned. I finally got in, started a tourney, and than froze up again. Not far from being blinded away I assume.

Me too.

I just received the following email from Pstars support:

We are not having any connection problems on our end. Players on AOL
related providers and other East coast providers are having problems,
European players going thru these are also experiencing problems. Please
try rebooting your computer and going back to the tables.

In order to get back in faster bypass the updater, click on My Computer,
C :, Program Files, PokerStars and double click the PokerStars.exe icon.

Players experiencing problems don't have access to the Cashier window.
Please rest assured your funds are safe.

Regards,

Carlos
PokerStars Support Team

By the way, I am not on AOL, nor am I on the East coast or in Europe.

My friend was only able to play for about 5 mins after i was booted off. He then got blinded out of his $22 rebuy satellite and finished 28th (didnt win a seat).

He wrote to Poker stars and this is the reply he got....

Doesn't look like they will be refunding any money to players who got kicked off!!

Looks like Carlos is spoiling for a fight. I wasn't in a tourney at the time, but I feel like an argument anyway.

Hi there,

I wasn't cost anything by your crash an hour or so again, but a lot of my friends and forum friends were.

I don't think this AOL/East coast invention is really convincing many people, do you think you could possibly send the real email along the lines of

"Hi there,

We are going to screw you out of your cash

Thankyou for choosing Pokerstars.

Carlos"

or at least let us know what is really going on.

Thanks

Lori

Got a slightly different response from the cashier...

Hello,

Thank you for writing about this matter. At this time, we are
experiencing some connection difficulties. We thank you for your
patience while we work to resolve them.

One effect of this outage is that you may be able to reach the PokerStars
Cashier, but it will show a zero balance. If this has happened to you,
please rest assured that you balance is safe and accurate, and will be
visible again once these connection difficulties are over.
