Re: A Suggestion for All
From crucial.com
[ QUOTE ] The number of total memory slots in your Dell Inspiron 6000 is 2 (2 banks of 1). The first number refers to the total number of slots your system has for memory modules. For example, if the first number is "2," a maximum of two modules can be installed. The numbers in parentheses refer to the number of banks in your system. If you have banks of 1, you can purchase and install one module at a time. If you have banks of 2, you need to purchase and install two modules at a time, and if you have banks of 4, you need to purchase and install four modules at a time. How many modules are in your system now? Now that you know how many memory slots your computer has, determine how many modules are currently installed in your computer. You can either: a) open your computer's case, identify the memory slots and then count the number of empty slots or: b) use the Crucial System Scannner to automatically detect your system's configuration information. How many modules can you add to your computer? You can add as many memory modules as your computer has empty memory slots. Just make sure you don't exceed the maximum amount of megabytes your computer can handle as determined in Step 1. [/ QUOTE ] So would I be able to upgrade it to 1.25 like Sthief mentioned? It sounds like I can only put two things in. Would I have to keep the first one in, thus only having 750? Or do I take one out, then have 1000? Or is it 2 extra? Sorry if these questions are really stupid. |

Battery FREE 64MB Dell USB Memory Key w/ 9-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery(80 WHr) [/ QUOTE ] If you buy the backup 80 WHr battery for $30 more instead of upgrading the main battery, I think you get more bang for your buck(80 WHr batter+53 WHr battery). |

Re: $750 of $1500 Dell Laptops (Starts 6/7/2005)
Yeah the starting price is higher than usual for the 6000...
But still a great deal. It's tough to find a desktop - much less a laptop - with a Pentium Processor, 512mb, and LCD screen for under $1,000 outside of these coupons. |

Re: $750 of $1500 Dell Laptops (Starts 6/7/2005)
How often does Dell give these promotions? I've noticed 2 in the past week or so. I'm waiting for the 50% one I've heard of.

I notice this is for "new U.S. purchases". I'm in Canada. Is there any way I could take advantage of this deal? Or is there something similar for Canadian customers?

Re: $750 of $1500 Dell Laptops (Starts 6/7/2005)
Blah that kinda sucks.
I was hyped up but now that I have everything ready to go I realized that these prices aren't much better than the eBay prices for the same computers. I can wait. |
