Default $1/$2 NL: TPGK and I get raised. What\'s the standard line?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

MP3 ($163.50)
CO ($50.20)
Button ($55.65)
SB ($72.05)
Hero ($40.95)
UTG ($49.50)
UTG+1 ($35.77)
UTG+2 ($46.75)
MP1 ($23.50)
MP2 ($48.20)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
UTG+1 raises to $1</font>, UTG+2 calls $1, MP3 calls $1, CO calls $1, Hero calls $0.50.

Flop: ($5.25) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 players)</font>
Hero bets $4, UTG+1 raises to $10, rest folds, Hero ???

No reads.

preflop raise could mean Ax suited. or KQ.

i'm thinking he might be raising to buy a free turn card for a flush draw.

but then again he might also have 2 pair with KQ.

What's the standard line?

You don't include AK in his hand range which is certainly possible. I like to c/c here and reevaluate on the turn. Keeps the pot smaller and I can just as well get away there.

this was .25/.50 and not 1/2 right?

With a field of 5 and being first to act here I don't like leading this pot. If you had a strong hand in this spot you would c/r with 4 behind including the preflop raiser. Betting out says I have an OK but not great hand. I might play this way with AK depending on the field and reads but not KJ.

KJs is just not a hand to play for top pair and if it lands that way I prefer a pair of jacks to kings. In this case the threat that your opponent has KQ means you would have no redraws (save runner runner A,T or J's). If he has a flush draw what range of hands do you think he has? AKs is out, so AQs and AJs seem the most obvious, would he raise (even min raise) preflop with less, like QJs? AQs gives him a pair with his flush draw, AJs gives him 3 extra tens, QJs gives him a pair plus one of your redraw outs. Face it, your screwed if he has you beat with a made hand and if he's drawing here. Save your money.

check fold is weak, but maybe right. This is a TOUGH hand to play OOP. I like your line. bet big, fold to a minraise even. If he smooth calls you turn is really tricky though.
